Here's hoping there's a settlement on the steps of the courthouse, Bob :)

Sorry to hear that Bob, both for missing Solvang and having to go to Texas now; it's getting to be the time of the year when you don't want to be there, at least for us soft NorCal people.

We have a son in Texas, we moved him in for college a couple of years ago in the middle of August; lovely would not describe the weather that day...

When you get to the intersection of Lark and Los Gatos Blvd, just go straight ahead at the light into the parking lot and then turn right (Office Depot will be on your left)

Show up earlier if you want to grab breakfast or coffee.
The plan is to roll by ~9:15 and go over the hill to Hwy 1 via Hwy 17

Based on that departure time, we can estimate meeting times for other locations along the coast.

Confirmed so far:
Mark (datsunrides): Watsonville - near on ramp to Hwy 1 - 10am - 10:15am

Send me a PM to exchange phone numbers, so we can refine meeting times along the way.

I'll see you at the Panera parking lot at 9am.

Thanks,

Raul

The meeting times and locations are firming up. So far it looks like 9-10 cars.

Panera, Los Gatos - 9am: Alvin, Rob, Raul, Mike
15200 Los Gatos Blvd, Los Gatos, CA 95032

Chevron, Watsonville - 10am: Mark, David + 2 more
200 Lee Rd, Watsonville, CA 95076

Chevron, Carmel - 10:30-10:45am: Patrick
3645 Rio Rd, Carmel, CA 93923

Cambria - predict around 1:30-1:45p for a lunch stop.
Location TBD

TBD: Leo - will try to catch us. Perhaps take 101 to Paso Robles and cut over to the coast and meet us for lunch.

In spite of whatever plan we prescribe, I'm sure we'll improvise along the way. I'll be compiling a contact list. I have received several PMs already.

Raul recommended bringing FRS radios. If you have one or more bring them along.

Regrettably, I will not be able to attend, despite the fact that this was something I truly looked forward to.

I have been parachuted into a trial in Texas starting Monday, and unfortunately I have no choice here. It is my job.

I will miss seeing all of you, but hope to see you at Shasta this year, or Solvang next year.

I'll be coming down 101 and cut over to Cambria if the timing syncs with the caravan. Mike, around noonish I'll give you a ring to see what the group's agenda/ETA is, and if it works out, great. If not, I'll see you guys in Solvang. Text updates would work great too as i can't hear a thing driving.

I'm going to try and hook up with everyone in SLO at 1/101. I'll give Mike a ring at 1:30 ish to check on the lunch crowd and ETA to SLO town. If the text updates happen, please add me to the list.

Seabiscuit (Leo I presume?) Give me a ring on your way through Paso and we'll hook up and run over to Cambria.

I'm in Paso. 1:00 may be a bit early for me to be able to get out of here. But give me a ring and hopefully we'll be ready to fly.

What a beautiful day for a drive up the coast with a great bunch of fellow owners! No breakdowns and only one healthy backfire  . Thanks again to Mike for putting it together.
