Panasport wheels

Post by Bob »

Looking to purchase some Panasport wheels.

I have 14" inch wheels due to the upgrade to 69 disc brakes up front and a 69 rear differential.

Does 14x6 with 15mm offset sound right?

Thanks.

sounds perfect.
All of the Roadster vendors will sell you the correct set of wheels for your car
185/60
195/60
or close for tires works well

here are a few shots of 14x6 +15mm:

ps I forgot that you had an early, tiny fender flare roadster.

14x6 might look a bit odd, at least imho since it will stick way past the flare. You might consider minilite or empi wheels or similar styles in 5 or 5.5 width:
thinner wheels(although 13") fit better then wider ones on 1500s:

I have a set of minilites for sale. If no one buys it, I'll polish them up and keep them for spares.

I haven't made a sale thread for my wheels yet...Maybe I'll do that right now.

re 14" Panas - note that your speedo will be off about 10% and thus the engine will work harder with a 195/65 profile - you might want to consider 15" instead - and gas isn't going to get cheaper

don't know where you got 195/65
but for a 1500, I would think 185/60 or 175/65...then wheel opening is smaller IIRC

Mileage is more depended on the driver than a small change in overall ratio and the 1500 has a much lower rear axle ratio than a 1600.

run whatever tire diameter you want to keep your speedometer ok…it doesn't matter if it's a 13, 14, or 15" wheel!

oops
195/65/R14 - off by 10%ish - i.e. speedo at 90sh is actually 80ish
