Huh? 200 miles? The return leg of the TT was 320 back to Glendale, then back home for me after a great meal.
Hard on the body, a bit jangled for a few days afterwards, but the cheeks were sore from all the grinning, so it made up for it.
Careful, the pseudo Iron Bottom is oming up in the spring, and those days are more like 300 minimum. 9i think I counted 1250 door -to-door in 3 days on my last one)

Conditioning, and barley pops. The "bar car" at the motel doesn't seem to hurt either.

The farthest I have driven my car was a few years ago coming back form Shasta. Too hot to drive down the valley, so I drove through Lassen, then around lake Tahoe, down 395 to mono lake and then down to Fresno and then straight home.....Pretty close to 1000 miles .....would have been more, but didn't leave until about 10 from Shasta.....Didn't get home until sunrise.

Some moons ago - working in a bar in Santa Monica - left @ 3A - to Monterey for a rugby tournament - then back the same evening (all via US1) - and that was with original roadster seats.

2 years ago - Van Nuys to Riverside - then up to Big Bear for hot rod show - back to Riverside for BBQ - then to Monterey for historics (slept in car overnight) - watched races then home, @1000 miles in 2 days (thank god for Miata seats) especially for the sleeping part.
T'aint the car - the only limitation is the driver <G>!

due to the necessity of removing the engine to re-fix tranny - have to cancel the run - sorry - was looking forward to some excercise.

Come to Solvang, only like 18-20 hours, right?

A few of us have made the Solvang to Oregon trip in one day, it took me 14.5 hours to make the 900 mile trip, left Solvang at 5:00 am and arrived home at 7:30 pm, I believe Michael S. and Eric S. may have the record time for it at under 11 hours...
