I went and saw the Increadibles last night, I think I saw at least 4 roadsters in it, as well as an early bluebird (I think) and a 510 (not sure). The Nash Mertopollitan that Mr Increadible drove was pretty funny. Someone had to be a roadster fan to put one in a cartoon, my hats off to his decision.

Sorry, I find modern engine swaps revolting. Keep your G, R, or U series in your Roadster!

We watched the original Love Bug last night. There are at least three shots of a red roadster parked on the side of the road as seen from inside Herbie. You won't have any trouble spotting it.

I couldn't tell if any roadsters were in the race scenes. I think there was one in a three way fight for the finish of one race, but I'm not sure. Unfortunately, Herbie won.

Kinda bringing a topic up from the grave. :lol:

Was watching the Jerk last night and saw a brown roadster in front of the gas station with a hardtop, it is there for quite a few scenes. Even when the dude is shooting at him.

The Cars That Ate Paris has a minute or so of a low windshield right hand drive white Datsun roadster at the very beginning of the movie. Unfortunately, the driver runs off the road and overturns. Here is the video..... " onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Yeah, I saw that film just before my escapade into the Norway Hill ravine back in December. Kinda ironic really. Weird film.

FYI, IMCDB is the Internet Movie Car Database. You can look up any car and it'll find films and screen shots of the car in that film. There's a few films with roadsters in them, a few I've re-watched and spotted. Any way, here's the link. Enjoy.

I don't think so, the mirror on the dash would be Pre-68 and the paint on the near the windhield says 68 and up high windshield - not that dash conversions haven't been done before! It also looks like a bench seat, with no parcel area. Finally, the antenna is on the wrong side.

Edit: Just looked at the bigger picture, so no bench seat, and there is a parcel area, but I still don't think it's a Roadster.

I can't believe I spent that much time to get to that picture. I don't get the celebrity worship. The car does indeed appear to be a Teutonic wonder - an old Benz.

My wife is sorting books and has The Flying Nun on. S2 Ep18, The Boyfriend. One of the gifts was a white roadster with a bow around it. Looked on youtube and it looks like a 67.5 1600.

Think I spotted one in the movie The Jerk, about 20 mins in just before
the Mexican guys pull into the gas station. The car is across the street
It looks orange with a hardtop

Yes, I saw the same car in the Jerk. Also, in a 1974 Columbo that starred Robert Conrad, filmed at the Encino Health club, there was a roadster parked in the driveway. Funny thing, I used to work there as a parking attendant in 1968. At that time I owned a '66 roadster.
