^ It wasn't necessary with these. Plenty of turns, lug nuts supplied gave a nice snug fit. No issues.

I think it might be model and offset dependent. The metal inserts on my VTO Retro 4 wheel are so thick that it would be hard to use them with standard studs.

15x7 shouldn't be any thicker there, but I can check. I think Phil is right, it's the model of wheel.

I'm confused. I thought longer studs were required on wheels with low offset or wider than stock width.
What does the metal insert have to do with it?
