Talk to Jenny at 18racing.com I am sure they can give you the big center caps with your desired wheel finish

They have 16x7 +12 rb's on that site. This is a better fit (under the fender lip in the fronts especially) than the +20's right? It seems to me the +20's stick out too far in the front.

just the opposite. Higher offset = wheels pushed inward. Lower offset = wheels pushed outward

+12 "sticks out" further than +20, all things being equal

Ok I am confused. The 16x7 +20‘s seem to stick out too far in the front from a couple of photos I've seen. It's very hard to tell though. Others have 15x7 +12 and those seem ok, but again I can't tell for sure. There are 15x7 +25's available as well. Does anyone have an opinion? I will be running Spriso's 300zx brakes, and my fender lips have been pinched and pulled out. I plan on lowering with comp springs in the future.

Judging clearances from roadster to roadster is tough since they all differ. Running different tire sizes/sidewalls also will change your perception of fender-to-tire clearance.

Pat Mahoney reported that the 15x7 +12 clears the Spriso 300zx bbk, so I think it would be safe to assume the 16x7 +12 will clear the calipers.

pinch/pull will give you lots of room…I say run the +12 offset or even lower!

If you are looking at 16x7 and wondering about offsets,well..

ROTA Wheel RB 16x7 ROTA-RB-16X7-003 (4x114.3+22mm, 73 Hub)
Tires are 195/50 16s

And this is what they look like on the car...

Image

And in motion.. I would not want them much wider.. In action, they fit the wheel well very nicely..

I think it would be good idea for everyone with Rota Rbs to post pics and wheel/tire info in one thread.

Rota RB's 15"x7" +12 Royal Hyper Black. 195/50 BFG tires. No body rubbing at all with this current body/chassis configuration. 300zx brake conversion, all clear.

Looking very good!

I talked with someone today at 18racing and they are hoping to get big caps in March.

It's nice to know that someone will be offering the big cap wheels again in Royal Hyper Black. I'm debating on getting another for a spare or finding a suitable space saver. With potential clearance issues of the 300zx calipers, a space saver might not work for a front. A flat on the front would mean swapping the rear to the front, and putting the space saver on the rear. That could be inconvenient on the side of the road. Any suggestions?

Well I finally ordered the RB in 16x7 +22 (i'll space them out to get the perfect look this way) in Royal Hyper Black. They don't come with the big caps, but I'll try to source some others if the ones it comes with don't work. Next I'll decide on tires... So many choices. By the way, 18racing does have 15x7's with the big caps in stock now if you're looking. I'm not sure what colors though.

My car comes back from paint in a couple of weeks. Lots of small body modifications are happening before final color. Then it gets the sr20 put back in and plumbed.

There's still tons to do.
