What are you guys using for comp brake shoes and where are you buying them from...

Up front I run KFP Gold pads, in the rear I have a set of the Nismo Green Stuff shoes that seem to go for ever. The rears are half NLA, they are sold separately and one of the shoes is NLA, but the last time I checked, the other shoe was still in stock.

Sorry, I find modern engine swaps revolting. Keep your G, R, or U series in your Roadster!

I just replaced the shoes with what I think is green stuff, at least they came out a new Nismo boxes that I got in the parts pile with the car. My car has 240Z calipers on the front and I'm using, per the previous owners instructions, Hawk blues. I was just thinking about getting a back up set of shoes because places like Road America are brutal on brakes. If green stuff is getting to be NLA what about the comp shoes Dean sells....Oh, and thanks again for the float bowl vent fix, I finished it a few weeks ago and everything came out fine.

Talk to the guys at Carbotech. XP12 for the front and Kelmet shoes for the rear. Only thing that would survive on the 240Z and works great on the roadster too. Order 510 shoes, they will fit the roadster.

I have new in the box, Nissan comp green stuff shoes plus a whole pile of old aluminum drums and shoe cores that I inherited from Col. Joe. I have not used the drums since converting to disk as allowed by SCCA years back.

I might be interested in some of those rear Nissan shoes. I've had really good luck with them. I most likely compromised the ones on the drivers side last year when I had the wheel bearing fail. Grease and oil everywhere. I cleaned everything out, heated the shoes with a torch to burn the oil out of them, but I can't say I'd trust them on the track. I'd say they work for the street, but I can't say that I've even pushed the car since fixing that mess. (I've only driven it for the video shoot and that was it.) Perhaps I'll take it for a spin tomorrow.
