Welcome! Pictures are definitely needed. Any details on your stroker? How about some history on the car, why did it sit at your uncles so long?
Looking forward to your posts!

it was my uncles daily for about a year and a half and then he started to work on it and got sick. so it just sat and even when i lived with him i didnt know it was back there but i went back down there to see my family after he passed and he had left it to me to fix up as a vintige racer (his dream). and i just started the stroker im trying to figuer out what piston and rods to run and as terrible as this is to say im doing on a low budget.

Nothing terrible to doing low budget, the fact that you are doing it at all is good. You can pick up an R16 replacement pretty cheap and just run it while you build the stroker.

yeah ... with that verb you really want to clarify things.

Sorry to read about your uncle, you guys sounded close (?). Nice of him to leave you the car, great way to carry on his memory.

If its just a head gasket why not repair just that before you start pulling it apart?
Cause I know that it may turn into a longer project than you can aford. (personal experiance).
