Hi all,
I'm in the market for a set of wheels for my '69 that need to fit over the 300Z brakes (not yet installed). Dave at FutoFab did some digging for me and helped me with offsets and such. I'd like to settle in on a style but most of Alvin's pics are not working anymore here on the forum since Webshots changed. Is there a new location for those pics you have Alvin?
Also, has anyone been able to see the FutoFab site lately? It's been down for at least a couple of days. I saw on another site that Dave may be having some health issues... I hope not.
Thanks!
Evan

Re: Looking at new wheels
sorry no new location for the webshots pics. I see that most of the thumbnails are still there so if you need specific pics let me know I can send them directly to you

Thanks for your concerns, but I'm actually doing quite well, as is FutoFab.
My health issues are relatively minor, more like aches and pains that just seemed to compound one on top of each other. It’s certainly nothing that is life threatening, but more like a series of minor irritations that just kept piling up.
Last summer in July, I tore the meniscus in my right knee unloading gear from my race trailer. It gave me some minor discomfort but it was manageable. The Doctor said to give it 4 weeks and see how it felt. 1 in 3 patients heal on their own, not needing surgery.
So while I'm waiting the 4 weeks and gimping around on the bum knee, I re-aggravate an old lower back injury from my early 20's. Now it was off to treat the back pain with PT and eventually a couple epidural steroid injections before any surgery can be done to fix the knee.
Now while I'm working at making my back better, my knee is also feeling better. Ultimately I get lucky and my knee heals up on its own not needing surgery and my back is doing well too.
Getting older and fatter hasn't made my health any better and I'd guess this whole episode was just my body's way of telling me to smarten-up and take care of myself. So, I've been working on eliminating the fatter part of the problem and I'm feeling tremendously better because of it.
So yes I've had a couple bumps health wise this year but nothing life threatening or with any long term effects. In fact I'm actually healthier now than I was a year ago because of the "dope slap" I got from all of this.
As to the FutoFab site, yes it was down for a period. Our on-line sales portion crashed and it took some downtime to get it back on line. We are now fixed, 100% functional and all is running smoothly again.
So don’t worry about me, I'm doing fine and FutoFab isn’t going anywhere for quite some time.
