16" wheel ?
hello all
just curious if 16" x 7" +15 offset and 205/55/16 will fit under 67' fenders any help would be greatly appreciated. ive searched and it seems that most people at this size are running 12 offset

Re: 16" wheel ?
+15 will fit better than +12 as they are moved inward about 1/8" (3 mm ~ .120 inches).
Are you talking 67.5 large flares or 67 small flares?
Should be very close with the large flares (fit on most cars and spring set-ups)
Small flares will most likely need "help" to clear.

I think the tire might be pushing it on an early flare car
search "unholy" he is running the at same combo on his large flare car

Re: 16" wheel ?
I realize this is an old post, but thought I would share that I have about a finger width between the fender and tire sidewall on my 69 with a 205/55/16 on the rear. I am running 205/50/16's on the front. SInce my wheels were custom cut by centerline, i am not sure of the offset.

Its easy to measure the offset.69silver2k wrote:I realize this is an old post, but thought I would share that I have about a finger width between the fender and tire sidewall on my 69 with a 205/55/16 on the rear. Re: 16" wheel ?
Straight edge against the bolt face.
Straight edge spanning the outer edge of the bead.
Measure between the two straight edges.
Then if you can move the bead straight edge to span the outside bead surfaces.
Now measure thru a lug nut hole to the bolt face straight edge.
Numbers equal = 0 offset. Rim is equally staggered inward and outward.
Inner number greater than outer, positive offset. +12 works very well for roadsters, +10 to +15 can be made work.
too far positive and rears will hit the leaf springs.
Outer number greater than inner, negative offset. Very common on fwd cars. (rims with big lips)
too far negative and tires will hit the flares when hitting bumps.
Did I get that backwards guys?
