Fun Run Sat 3/16/13 - Celebrate my 65th

Post by mraitch »

200 + miles of lovely curves (ok a bit of freeway) - start at my house (Van Nuys) for coffee and donuts - 9:30 AM and finish at my house for a BBQ about 4ish.
I will do bbq - but please consider pot-luck dishes or snacks

Great Garm - gonna make it a fun route - focussing on twisties and scenic as well. I've done a lot of these in the past and hopefully I can create something that ties it all together.

St Pats Day?
I am so in for this. We'll find some decent eating place in Taft at the refuel stop. (or Ramirez family burger joint stop at the end of Lockwood)
Since it is a bit more difficult for most to speak in an Irish accent, it may be an "all communication in a thick Scottish brogue" day.

Ron,
welcome in any car, in fact bring Andrew in the rockin' 610 wagon.
Thisis all about the celebration and opportunity to give Peter a healthy ration of #$%*. (and enjoy some gorgeous scenery and twisties)

I'll be the guy who blames my slow pace on the 80 #'s of tools in my trunk, which is an excuse for a lesson learned many moon ago overcooking old tires in offcamber corners.

Peter, I'm in on this run just as soon as these doctors can figure out what's wrong with me. I've been bedridden since sept with killer back pain. Possible complications of previous back surgery. Really miss driving old Red. Hope to join you then.

s**t - I'm always amazed that my back hasn't given out - somewhat obvious scoliosis ( I should be 1 1/2 inches taller according to the chiro.
And I can't imagine being bed-ridden for more than a day or two (at least by myself !)
Hoping you get better soon - love to have you join us.
