Running 40 DCOE's, but that will likely be switched to 45's with the supercharger. The manifold is Bob Boig unit, which supports 45's. I hear you on the intercooler, but man i hate having to route for an air-to-air unit, and hate the complexity of a water-to-air unit.
The 40 DCOE's were picked before deciding on the supercharger, since I use them on my Volvo P1800, and I like jetting them and setting the veturi's up for low-end grunt on that motor for around town driving. This car is a whole different beast now though. Temptation has led me astray again.
Ah, come on! Pick up a couple 2 inch U-bends and spend a day chopping and welding. Sooooo easy compared to the work you've already put in. You know if you don't do it now, you'll get all done and think "I really should have done an IC but now it'll be 3x the work since everything is all nice and finished."
The Forge Motorsports universal fit intercooler is right at home in that spot I mentioned. Fits like a glove.

I bought the 105 series but would recommend the 106. With the inlet and outlet on the 105 pointing straight up, I had to do a real sharp 90* connector, as seen here:
I found out later that they will do custom end-tank configurations for you. You could get the 106 and have the tubes welded on an inch or 2 higher up on the end tank. Basically, an inch or two up from being centered. If I remember right from my measurements, that would have been the best overall solution.

The mod on the MAZDA script was out of deference for all of the people that nearly fall over when you open the hood of a Dastun and see Mazda yelling at you. I don't really consider the BP motor a Mazda unit anyway since it is also shared with numerous Ford 4-bangers as well, KIA too, and few others here and there. It is the engine with no brand, so now it is a Datsun too.
Sorry that ruined the whole thing for you, but I know how you feel. It is like finally getting that hot chick at the party naked, onle to find out she has a third nipple...on her ass.
If you would like to donate a powder-coated valve cover with the scripting of your choosing, I will consider it for a quick bolt-on and photo session.
Gotta disagree with you on this one, Alvin. When I saw "Datsun 1600" on there I laughed out loud. I think it's funny as hell. I love those fun little touches like that. That's what really makes a swap like this stand out.
