Brake Switch

Post by richmcd1969 »

My brake lamps stay on. It may be the switch. Does anyone have an opinion on sourcing a new switch if bad?

Most likely it’s the rubber bumper stop has broken down and is not allowing the brake light switch to close. Not sure if the part is available, I use a tiny cork plug and inserted it in the hole replacing the rubber bumper.

brake switch

it can also be that someone in the past had loosened the switch, make sure it is tight. If you need a new switch I have one here NOS in the nissan box.
