AutoX test and tune day at Sears Point Nov 17

Post by SLOroadster »

Back by popular demand... Thats right we are hosting another autoX test and tune day in the paddock at Sears point. Same format as last time, tons of seat time, come on out. I didn't think we'd be doing another one this year, but I was wrong. Lets see some roadsters come out and have fun.

Nice guys, sounds like I'll have to run the roadster for this 8) My season will be done, and I can throw the Panasports on saving my good set of tires. I kinda wanted to run the M3 due to changing the suspension a bit (stiffer springs to match the shocks/struts and soon, hopefully all new bushings in the rear end.) I have a feeling it will be a low attendance event so lots of seat time.

Would love to make it out again, but have to be back early that day for a commitment. If you need people, I might convince myself to show up for 2/3's of a day. I'll watch this space.

Leo, assuming Alex and Garm make it out, we could have 4 roadsters running (or at least 3 if Garm shows up with the Yaris.) How cool would that be? 2/3 of a day would work. I'm planning on on bringing mine out assuming we have some other roadsters running. (Sorry, I'll need the Panasports this time around  Heck, I'm likely going to run them for my last two races of the season since I'll be first run group and last and I don't want to have to change wheels for the races.) Now that I think about it, we could have 5 roadsters if Dandridge brings his out.

If you came all the way up here for just a car show, go another 40 miles and get a full days worth of driving fast, as well as a chance to ride along with guys doing the full track day on the big track, and the chance to drive the track during the lunch break in your car doing parade laps. They are only 40 mph, but still, you will have fun. Its a ton of driving for $75. Instructors are there if you want them, if not no problem.

It would be awesome to get more roadsters out running than Porsche's or Miatas 8) If anyone wants to help out, the price to play can be reduced substantially :D We will need help setting up Friday night, and general shagging cones and keeping things organized on Saturday. PM me for more info on that.

Fun stuff. I'm doing a rebuild of my rear end, I broke a wheel bearing last week scattering bearing pieces throughout the axle housing. Yeah, lots of fun there. I should have all the parts by either tomorrow or Saturday. Hey, at least it wasn't an axle.

Anyone else?

Sorry, still in a holding pattern. I had a great time at the previous event, but I am seriously considering taking my daily driver to the track day next door. I still haven't had her on the track yet and have always wanted to do it; so it's a good chance to do it as the price is right.

If that doesn't work out, then I will bring the SS Minnow back out. I'll make a decision by this weekend.
