Leigh can go spank them. He knows plenty about Roadsters. Even though someone corrected the guys on that forum about which came first, one clown is adamant that the roadster is a copy of the B. Well, seeing as the 2000 was originally classed by the SCCA to race with Porsche 911s, Shelby GT350s, Sunbeam Tigers and the like, while Bs were racing other Bs and some Triumphs, that pretty much says it all from a performance standpoint.

Until I get a Miata, I won't join their list. Now, if someone wants to donate one to me so that I can join...;-)

Yeah, I considered getting a British project car, but I decided I wanted my roadster to run.

Yeah, nice job, Andy. I really love their "Roadsters have no soul" comment.

Debbie's (my wife) Xmas present was a Miata 2002 Special Edition with every available option. Yes, it's nice and modern, and dry, and rack 'n' pinion and all discs and.....

BUT!!!!!

...it definitely does NOT have soul like my heavy, underperforming, MGA/B/Austin-Healy copy roadster! And that's just sitting in the driveway! Wait 'til I'm on the road again. 8)

But y'all knew that already, didn't ya? :D

I was driving a Miata for a few months while my transmission/waterpump/starter ect problem was at hand, and couldnt wait to get my car back. Its not even a contest. I was hoping to do a run with the local miata club in SLO but moved before they had a run.

Sorry, I find modern engine swaps revolting. Keep your G, R, or U series in your Roadster!

Are Miatas really all that much better at handling?? I've ridden in one at autocross and it did do really well, but it really wasn't like "omg wow."

I've yet to ride in a Roadster :(
