Spare Jack Alternative
If anyones looking for a cheaper replacment jack I found this jack in a 96 BMW 3 series. Fits well and has the same lift height. Even snaps into the stock clip in the truck.

Re: Spare Jack Alternative
Are stock jacks hard to come by? I have 4 or 5 in the garage...

Re: Spare Jack Alternative
Still rather use a scissor jack - though the handle is a vast improvement over the ratchet

Re: Spare Jack Alternative
The ratchet was only on some late 69 and 70 cars. The early cars got a crank handle.

Re: Spare Jack Alternative
I would avoid that thing at all costs and use a floor jack. Granted it doesn't do you much good on the road, but then I have a scissor jack for that. Those things just scream body damage and "Danger Will Robinson, Danger!"
"When all else fails, force prevails!" Ummm, we're gonna need a bigger hammer here.
