He's a busy dude. Lots of travel due to his real job. I've sent an email or two that went unanswered. Give him a ring. Always been able to catch him on the telly. I saw in a recent post he was in Quebec.

Hi Gary,

I have been home a total of 1 week in the 6-weeks due to travel for job #1.

On top of that, my spriso.com e-mail has been down, so if you need to contact me, please send a not via sprisomotorsports@gmail.com (which is never down)

Alvin,
It's a little upgrade from my EFI U20. It's not that I need it, it's that I want it

Forgot to mention Alvin that a DET is the obvious choice for me considering I live at 6,200 feet elevation. We lose 20% of normal power due to the elevation here. So some method of forced induction is the only way to get the air density into the engine. Increasing boost will compensate for the elevation too. That's impossible to do with a NA engine. I can't wait. It'll be a great winter project. I test ran my S15 this weekend and it's good to go.

I can see a monster being created, not like that's a bad thing. :D I drove Woody's 375hp SR20 so
PLEASE video the first drive, that's going to be a big silly grin on Gary's face.

Uh Dave, I'll start with the 250 stock HP and go forward. I can mount my video camera on my roll bar and it will inspiring. The power to weight ratio is incredible.

So I've removed the power steering pump, AC compressor, and alternator from the engine. They look like new. Is there a market for them in the US and if so, what car and engine in the US?

Re: S15 SR20DET into my '70 SRL

I haven't been as generous as others with posting photos of my swap, mainly because most of it is nothing different from what everybody has already seen here with a SR20 swap. But I will put a few up where I may be doing something a little different. Here's a start.
The front half of the X member cut out for reconfiguring for the 6 speed:
DSCF0621.jpg
Here's the drive train sitting on the reshaped X frame. The 2 front legs are moved straight back and widened at the center, using new 3 X 3 tubing. It has to be this way because the 6 speed is longer and wider than the other SR20 5 speeds. I'm lowering the tail of the tranny more than everybody else to improve the angles for the driveshaft.
DSCF0683.jpg
Here's my drive shaft angle layout. I had to make tapered (2 degrees) spacer blocks to replace the flat blocks between axle and springs in order to tilt the differential upward to match the angle of the tranny. It was laying flat previously. Now I have near perfect angles, equal and opposite.
Driveshaft Complete Alignment.jpg
More to come later.

Way to go Gary. My swap is at 5600 ft elevation, any extra power I can get I'll take!
