I put Rally Stripes on the Roadster - Purists look away...

Post by Dave_Car_Guy »

These rally stripes (aka, "Go Fast Stripes") are temporary, but I like the way they look...together with the racing numbers off my other car, this may be just the ticket to get the Roadster a tad more attention at this weekend's Danville d'Elegance. This is 3M vinyl, 5" wide, applied with no adhesive or heat.

Thanks...and the numbers are just magnets, they come off in 1 second. They're juts for autocrossing and track days. The stripes took about an hour to apply and can be removed in about 3 minutes.

The skunk stripes are fine by me. I would have spaced them a tad wider apart...

I like the stripes. But you need center caps for your wheels! (personal pet peeve)
That ride loooks really well sorted! You'll get some attention for sure.

I agree! Tell me where I can find some Panasport center caps and I'm all-in. I can't seem to find a source...

Never looked before, but I guess you could start here: http://www.panasport.com/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
Then of course there is e-bay. Found ONE on Amazon... http://www.amazon.com/Panasport-Wheels- ... B008PJMV5K" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
They do appear to be difficult to come by. When I lost one on my Enkei's I went to them to get replacements.

Stripes look great in the pic. Will have to check out tomorrow for a 3D view. I like the numbers too for the temporary fun factor.

Looks good to me. It is a sports car, after all.

If you're going for a racer look like this, center caps would be out of place, since you wouldn't run them at the track.

I like the racer look, I agree, no center caps needed. Save them for the car shows...
