I cleaned up a set for my 69 2000. I'm partial to the original sandcast/rough center, and light glass beading retains this texture but removes oxidation and 3-4 decades' worth of 'stuff'. I still hadn't decided on color, but didn't want to have them oxidize back, so I just hit the spokes with a light clear-coat.

Glass-beading them requires masking the polished outer rim section - or else repolishing.

I'll post pics, but the natural aluminum actually looks pretty good with plain clearcoat so I might leave it that way!
