stainless strips

I removed the rear 1/4 strips from my car and noticed that they are different as one has a pointed end and the other is rounded at the rear. both are concaved and on my 65 any idea what is the go with the different types i like the pointed one and i could shape the round one that way any suggestions.Rob.

I wouldn't go to beating on that rounded end one...

The pointed is correct for the 1600s. The rounded is what came on a 1500. There is probably a 1500 guy somewhere that could use the rounded one. The pointed ones are not too tough to find. I may even have one out in the garage. You should check to see which side you need. They are angled at the front end to match the back of the door.

Thanks for clearing that up Sid i will ask around our club but if worst comes to worst i will massage the 1500 right hand one to suit the other as the strips are a little hard to come by in australia.Rob
