Rebello is a custom engine builder here in the bay area that I think specializes in Nissan/Datsun engines. Very well known in the Datsun world.

Alvin, Thank you for the kind words. Frank & I will gladly join in the fun runs this summer. Thanks for stopping by.

Alvin, too bad the road was wet & I had that short whilest we were out Fri PM, I feel you didn't really get a good impression of what the car can do. (Better to stay alive for a sunny/dry day). Next run up to Mt. Hamilton, I'm sure I'll learn a few techniques following you.

Regarding Rebello - Dave Rebello has been rebuilding these engines forever for 510's Z's & roadster's (& a lot of other neat race stuff - there was a quad-carb lambo. engine he was doing that was to die for (buuuuut, that's a LOTTTT of $ ) (too much for this humble boy).

Now that my U20 is running I've now experienced what it can do when it's really running (unfortunately, the engine went "pop!" shortly after buying the car, so this is the first real experience.

The engine is built to be strong - but streetable (new word), as realistically - I won't be seeing too much track time - aside from the annual nissan meet. My U20 peaks Torque peaks at 5000 RPM at 166hp/174 lb. HP peaks at 6300RPM with 192hp/166lb torque (at flywheel). Needless to say it's a lot of fun

Still awaiting the ITG 1-piece air cleaner. Once I receive it, I will post the source & P/N & Costs for it to save anyone else looking at it the headache of spec'ing it out. Next on the agenda is the suspension & wheels, as the suspension is stock w/exception of new KYB's (Yea, LOTS to do on this front). Reality dictates next year due to life. Such is life.

Wishing everyone well this weekend at Solvang. Alas, life commitments with my Son prevents me from attending. Will see those of you that can at the All Nissan segment for Shasta.

Best Regards,

Dan
