64 1500 brake questions

Post by evomotion »

Hi team,

Are the brake bleeder nipples on the 64 1500 the same size as the 1600? Are they the same as a 510?

Also is there a replacement for the inline brake light switch? Ours shorted and boiled the fluid before it FINALLY popped the fuse.

Thank you!

Unless I am mistaken the brake light switch from the early 1600s is the same. I believe that a lot of early Datsun used the same switch.

Here is the P/N for the hydraulic brake light switch-65-67(firewall) 25320-89901. They were still available 6 months ago. I ordered two as they are fairly cheap.
