24 hour Chump Car race July 21-22, Spokane , WA

This will be the last race in the Chump car series for this 67 SR20 SPL311 campaigned by Joe Klokkevold of Spokane Valley, WA. Joe and his team are defending champions and hope to finish with another win to make it 5 in a row. The race is held at Joe's home track of Airway Height on July 21-22. The car runs presently big Z brakes on the front and Volvo calipers on the rear. A Ford 8 inch rear end drives the rear wheels. Joe says the limiting factor is the original leaf springs which he plans to eliminate for the next race in December at Thunderrhill for the 25 hour race.

For Decembers race, Joe will be running an SR20DET and a four link rear suspension and getting rid of the archaic front suspension set up.

I hope some locals can go cheer Joe and his 67.5 Datsun SPL311 at both these races. I will make sure Joe gets some pictures to publish after each race.
