I agree, unless the body is great and you like it -and you have access to a spare frame and engine - I would pass.

I recently got back from Arizona and saw the ad. I went and looked at it (I'm in Grand Haven) and I agree with others. There is better ones out there. If he said you could have it for hauling it away, I'd jump on it. But I'm sure that won't happen.

That was one of the worst frames I've seen. If there is that much rot in her on the freakin frame she's done in my opinion. The body would have to be pulled to get at what is surely a rusted through cap, body, etc. Parts car.

Heck Greg, that is surface rust compared to some cars I have owned...

Re: looking at a '69 1600
Okay, thanks, the body looks "rust free" but if the frame is that far gone, the body must have been worked over pretty heavily and it wasn't prepped very well, lots of dings and "waviness" evident. I'd bet it would start popping rust bubbles before we got it home. I'm leaning against but we'll see what my son thinks....what' d'ya think? (he's reading this I bet)

Fun thread. I've always loved these cars. Certainly on my list, maybe not this one, but hopefully someday.
