195/50/15 tire opinions

Post by dynaguy »

Looking to tire up my new Rota RBs. Anyone running BFGoodrich g-Force Sport tires? Opinion? I want to purchase locally, not alot offered in the 195/50/15 size.

Discount tire has the Dunlop Direzza DZ101 in that size for $87 bucks. I think that's a steal. I have these on my 2000 Celica GTS and love them. They seem to work well on cars that are of similar weight to ours. If i ever go to a 15 inch wheel I will be buying these, or maybe their super sticky version, but that is special order on their site.

BFGoodrich g-Force Sport COMP-2 look to be a little more than Dunlop Direzza DZ101
Many have used Kumho Ecsta AST as a budget performance tire....

I think either will be great....

My personal choice was Dunlop Direzza Sport Z1 Star Spec...195/50 x 15 front 205/50 x 15 rear, but they are a couple of hundred more for a set......
If I were to do it again, I would get 195s for both, but I LOVE them....

I have the BF Goodrich G Force on my 69 and they are excellent tires. Far superior adhesion to the Sumitomo's on my 67.5. The G Forces are decent in the rain too...

I am running Khumo ecsta's from Discount tire on my Rota's. I like the look and they ride really nice with the KYB GR2 shocks/struts and the comp front springs.

Just dropped the hammer on a set of Rota RBs 15x7 +12 offset. It looks like the everyone agrees on 195/50/15 for tires all around? Confirm??

I put Fuzions on My BMW 635 Csi - had never heard of them either, but they rode well and handled fien for a very good price. Never had a problem with them and they looked new after 30K when I sold the car.

Onlinetire.com has good prices especially with pick up. Cerritos, CA They beat Tire Rack, and all the other places.

My experience exactly. I got some Sumitomos.

Question... why not a little wider in the back?
