Seattle to Solvang Caravan. Tuesday and Wednesday

Post by ted heaton »

Seattle to Solvang Caravan report.
A fine ride so far. Escaped all but a few sprinkles.
Wednesday night in Williams CA.
WE ended up with 5 roadsters and 2 support vehicles.
Tuesday was easy Seattle to Albany OR. Ted, Richard, Garth and Cathy.
Stopped in Portland to see Leigh Brooks and his stroker.
Went to Sprios's for "the full dog and pony show". VERY impressive.
Richard got a ride in Eric Straw's white SR conversion and had to change his underwear when he returned.
Overnight at Bill Neal's place.
Off in am with Bill and his son Dave and Bill Cole and Don Anderson
Missed 99% of the rain and I had the top down all the way.
Only 1 minor voltage regulator problem resolved in the best roadside fashion by a few hard blows to set it right!
Ted.

It was fantastic having you guys stop by for a visit-- I always enjoy having roadster visitors.

Eric, Dave Jolliff, and myself are leaving Corvallis in the morning and are heading to the Bay Area. It is absolutely pouring with rain tonight, so hopefully it will lighten up in the morning-- or we will just have to drive a bit faster... Either way, we are excited to be on our way to Solvang!

See you all soon,

Michael

Looks like the fun of Solvang has already started. lol

And stopping at Spriso! Even better. This week can't go by quick enough. I want Friday to be here!
Dreaming of the day when I can drive my '69 Roadster with a SR20DET motor purring beneath the body. :)
