Engine hasn't even come out yet. Too busy with work lately. I started to disconnect things last night. The hood is off and radiator is out so that is a good sign.

I can't wait to show you guys the t-shirt designs. Just the initial sketches are worthy of a place on the wall in the man room.

Just curious if there are going to be any Portland / Seattle / Spokane people attending?

For the Portland / Seattle people, one option to avoid traffic may be to head east from Seattle to Wenatchee and up (97) through Omak. Technically it is 1 hour longer than heading straight north and crossing into Canada at Sumas but there are a number of advantages of going this route:

1. I suspect the hour you save by going the Sumas border crossing route is going to be eaten up sitting at that border crossing or being slowed by more traffic.
2. I have done the #97 route before (actually on the return trip from Seattle where I bought my car) and it is a really nice / quiet drive relative to the busier route in BC coming out of the Vancouver area. I did that route it in early May through the mountains in my roadster and didn't die of frostbite so late May should be fine.
3. The border crossing into BC between Omak and Osooyos is a piece of cake as far as congestion is concerned compared to the ones to the west.
4. Once across the border into BC, it is a fairly fun, twistie road up to Kelowna on highway 97.

If there are Spokane /Coeur d'Alene people attending it may be fun to agree to meet the Portland / Seattle people in Omak for the final stretch into Kelowna.

Hi Dave.
Roadster shirt looks SUPER.
Where is the truck shirt picture?.
Sure you do not want to show the older, more classy, 60's 320 truck?
There are probably 3-4 shirt sales among DROPS members for a 320 truck shirt.
I am still planning on coming from Seattle.
"pebbles" on 311s is coming also but I have no commitments from other DROPS folks yet.
Thanks for all the effort and good promotion of this first time show.
Ted.

Ted,

Thanks for checking back in.

The truck design is "under construction". It will be a 620 only because it seemed like that model was the so called most popular. Honestly I could have done three truck designs.

The price of getting just these four done is pretty steep so while I could go nuts and do all sorts of these shirts I had to watch my budget on this for now.

If there is interest, after I get over the hump of registration, in other designs we can go there. Just let me know.

I should be opening registration up this weekend so I am relying on those of you who see these kinds of posts of the forums to make the rest who don't get on the forums aware and direct them to registration. There is a fair bit of effort going into putting this on and it will make it more of a challenge not knowing who is coming.

Stay tuned folks. I'm really looking forward to this.

...now out to the garage with me to get that engine put back together so I can actually drive my car to this. HAHAH

Ya, he mentioned about a month or so ago that he'd be doing that. My hope is we have a whole crew of folks from Alberta making a group run west to Kelowna.
