OK, so the weather is horrible. Rain all weekend. What the heck...let's do this. SATURDAY. Any and all brave souls that want to come out, we're going to give it a try. If nothing else, it'll give you a story to tell...

SATURDAY
Date: March 31, 2012
Time: 2:00 pm
Place: Starbucks: 2005 Crow canyon Place, San Ramon, CA
(NOTE: THERE ARE TWO Starbucks on the same street, this is the one on the North side of Crow Canyon Rd. )
Directions: From I-680, take the Crow Canyon Rd Exit in San Ramon, turn East, then get in the LEFT lane and turn left onto Crow Canyon Place. The Starbucks is on your right in the shopping area where you see Max's Diner and PetCo. BRING AN UMBRELLA or a good hoodie!

2:00 pm: Meet at Starbucks, be prompt so we can move to...
2:10 pm: my garage in San Ramon...talk Datsuns, cars, etc. Test drives in Fisker Karma & Latigo?
2:30 pm: leave to go to Blackhawk Museum (10 minutes away)
2:45 pm - 3:45 pm: tour the cool cars at at the Blackhawk Museum
3:45 pm - 4:30 pm: take South Gate Rd up Mt. Diablo via Blackhawk Rd and Mt Diablo Scenic Blvd
4:30 pm: Top of the Mountain, photos, views, etc.
5:00 pm: Head back down the mountain before sunset, which is 5:30 pm

Dang. I think I'm gonna pass this time too. Sometime soon, if anyone wants to do one in the vicinity of Hwy 9, 35, 81, 1, etc, I'm there in a flash. That's more or less my backyard, and not only does it have some of the best roads in the universe, my Hawaii plates will not get any *cough cough* attention.

I'll work on registering the thing anyways, because I was supposed to be doing that.

I'm STILL on for today. Come hell or high water as they say, and we may have both. But the roadster, and the other cars in the garage, work just fine in wet weather. So we'll have some fun. OK, I'm a little bummed that Alvin and BikerMike have bailed out, as they were the initial core of this, and I really want to see Alvin's swapped engine. But it sounds like a few others are still willing? Here is the list as I know it now...

Repeat: CANCEL. Sorry to say...I got a few PMs for people who can't come and we just don't have any mass. I also just realized RCMIke is asking to come but he's in SoCal, just a short 8 hour drive away. Gotta love his spirit!

CANCELLED. We will try again another day. For now, I will suggest anyone who can should make it to the April 1 Saratoga run tomorrow (See separate thread). Unfortunately, I can't make it on Sunday. Enjoy the sun without me!
