I would love to join you guys for a coastal run
I've done that on the way back up from Solvang and it was beautiful

Still unsure when we are going, but start asking around for caravans here and the list

Check before leaving, I think the Big Sur Marathon is the Sunday after the show, they close Hwy 1 for a few hours. Going down Hwy 1 on Friday and back on 101 may be better.

Two years in a row while heading back to Oregon a small group of us got caught up the traffic from the Dream Machines air/car show at Half Moon Bay. It was really neat to see Stealth's and old bombers flying over head but it ended up being hours of bumper to bumper traffic heading North towards the Bay area on hwy 1. Bad choice for a Sunday drive home.
Thursday before this years show there should be a group of Northwest Roadsters heading south on 101, we are taking the pass over to Gilroy from I-5 to travel South on 101, once we eat lunch, fuel up, and meet up with others we'll head off to Solvang....see ya there...Bill

Initial thought was Hwy 1 on Friday and 101 (with detours) on Sunday. I may stop in Paso Robles on the way back to pick up some wine if I have room in the car.

Sometime shortly before the show, we should post a few cell phones so we can make it happen. Paso Robles might be a good spot to meet, if we're early, Linda can keep busy at the wineries. We'll be in a rental Jeep, so can get some video of the Roadsters on the road and carry any excessive wine purchases.

Between the coast to Paso a good place to grab a sandwich is Farmstand 46.

Then stop into Zenaida for a tasting.

The staff is friendly. The wine is good and reasonably priced and the wine club has some nice perks. The atmosphere is relaxed and you can enjoy your sandwich on the edge of the vineyard. It might make for a good meeting point.

Well, only beyond the luggage capicity of the car. We added a luggage rack and got a suitcase, holds 12 bottles. I also leave the spare home.
