blocking primer exciting?,,,,,,,,,,,,yes :D
My plan is to block the whole car and prime the whole car, to see if my shoulder holds up to the demand. If not, I will probably spray the paint with the 2qt pressure pot, to minimize the fatigue. I bought the pot for a bronco project years ago. havnt used it since. works great for truck beds and upside down areas.

Drove up to see Ross at Sports Imports to grab some goodies, lotsa goodies actually. THANKS ROSS!

I made an attempt at locating the badge holes on the L/F fender. Didnt work the way I planned. Datsun 1600 pins same. So I marked the paper, laid the emblems up and adjusted my marks.
The Right fender previously had a fairlady badge,,,, I guess the pins are located different than the datsun pins huh. :?
andybondo 280.jpg

Transferred the paper to the other side
andybondo 281.jpg

Drilled them a bit small then hand filed to size and center.

I bet that the wrong holes fit the FairLady emblem from the 1500s.

It is an odd fender. OG white paint, an early 510 marker light and mirror holes just above the marker. But it fit at the door/windshield post perfectly.

Neither one works. How 'bout the loud one? Oh wait, that's the dishwasher when it does work.

Cleaned up one of the old lites, good to go.
andybondo 291.jpg

Finished the floor. Heat from the exhaust must soften the tar, the drivers side was much more work than the pass side.

1 brush coat of the por.

Dont forget the boot floor.

And the outboard wells.

I'll work the cowl and windshield frame this week, and start blocking next week.

Patience,,,me too. As far as the lights go, thats the fun stuff. Disecting and reclaiming OG parts,,,,and my knees were killing me. Watching paint dry drives me nuts, so during the flash times without creating debris in the air, is a rest body, stay focused strategy. Shoptime is limited, thus the need for keeping productive.

Replaced new lenses with old lenses. slightly deeper red hue.
