Anyone auto-x in Oregon?

Post by shifty »

I used to auto-x my Miata in the Bay Area years ago. I'd like to try my Roadster. I live really close to PIR.

Trying to figure out what class I'd be in!

Which roadster? If its a 2L, you are in CSP most likely. If you are running a 1600 I think it might be Dsp, but I'm not positive.

My guess, open street prep. Good luck with that. You'll be running against stripped down Subi STIs, EVOs and just about any other turbo powered monster, or engine swapped monster. If you had the R16 or U20, different story, but since you have an H20, you are out of luck.

Doesn't matter, if its got Mikunis on it, you will be booted to a higher class whether the car belongs there or not. Still, you might only end up in CSP rather than OSP but the odds of doing well in class are pretty much nil. I'm assuming you are looking to run SCCA, if its with someone else you might be ok.

If you end up with someone who is anal retentive doing tech, you might get called out for the motor swap.

I run my roadster in Medford OR.

What part of Oregon are you in?

We have a great facility and a bunch of fun people.
Check our club ssccmedford.org in the southern Oregon area.
Emerald Empire Sports car club in the Eugene are.http://www.eescc.org/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
Autocross club of central Oregon in the Bend area. http://autoxclub.org/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Love to have another roadster out.

I've started autocrossing my '69 1600 with eescc in Eugene. They're a wonderful organization and run a nice tight ship. It's a stock car and it's classed in HS, but people don't seem to be overly worked up about the rule book.
