Solvang: How much happens on Friday?

I have never attended the Solvang meet and the website does not yet provide details. This year, I have an afternoon conflict for Saturday April 28. So my question is this: Friday April 27 is listed as the "Meet and Greet" day...is that a full day of hanging out at the show site with everyone? Does it still make sense to come down Thursday night, given that I would have to leave early Saturday morning?

On Friday night there is a meet and greet at a local burger place. The show is all day Saturday with a BBQ and awards presentation. I missed the Friday meet and greet last year due to trailer problems but plan on getting there early Friday afternoon this year.

Friday night has always been fun, but not everyone is there yet. The big show on the street is Sat morning till early afternoon, so you will miss alot, but not all. If you could stay til noon, you would get a good taste of it, but you have a long drive back. Now in a perfect world, come down Thursday catch a flight out of SBA to SFO and back, have a nice drive home Sunday

Hey, I like the way you think, Dave. That might be the ticket... SBA to OAK.

Sounds like otherwise I would miss the bulk of it, mid-day Saturday. But even if I just make for Friday, it sounds like I can meet plenty of people and cars... Thanks for the info, all !

SBA is a small airport. Looks like flights go to San Francisco. Other choice is to fly to BUR rent a car and drive up since there are flights to OAK.

Last year Friday night was held at a burger joint in town. Had a good time, not the same as Mendenhalls but was still a good time. Not sure what the plans for this are. But whatever they are, it is always a god time for meet and greets
