I took Dean up on his interior package sale and it arrived today. I am thrilled with the quality of the finish, stitching and material. I can hardly wait to start putting it together! You're the man!

Hmmm. I gues I should put the engine and trans back together and install them first. Oh yeah, and finish the bodywork and paint, and I guess I should...

Anyways thanks Dean. By the way, it was 3 days via USPS, the boxes were perfect, and there was no brokerage charge so that worked out great!

Interior package sale? What interior package sale?

I don't see any mention of it on Dean's website nor did he post anything.....at least not since his Christmas 2004 Sale, and there isn't an interior kit listed.

I think he posted it on the list Pete. It started off as a conversation about carpet kits etc. I got a late model red kit. Really nicely made with original looking patterns on the vynel (sp). They look as good as the warranty covers you get from the factory (used to run a service dept at a Honda store). Carpet is a nice loop, with properly finished edges and gussets. I also got his console kit, dash kit,windshield trim and new sunvisors. I think by redoing all of the plastic bits at the same time it won't look as much as a "nice dash cap" interior. Anyways I'm impressed...and I tend to be a bit of a picky p ick.

I don't know if he's still got stock, but I'd call him.

Before I purchase/install an interior kit, I need to get the car a bit more weatherproof. I goofed and left the top down in October....and, of course, that was the day it started raining.

In the process of sopping up the water with towels, I discovered extra "custom" drain holes in the front where the firewall meets the flooring, which means extra "goodness" coming from below on rainy roads.

I ran an portable electric heater inside up until last month to keep it dry, but the damage is done; I have that lovely, musty, moldy smell.....sigh...

That's the trouble with living in the great North-Wet, Pete. These California cars start to melt when they hit real weather. It'll be a hell of a long time before I even get to drive mine Pete, so look at the bright side.

Take the windsheild off, buy goggles and drive at least 40 mph and you'll never smell it
