Clutch MS pushrod

I just purchased a new clutch master cylinder from Rallye, and I noticed that the pushrod on my old one is adjustable- the new one is not. Which pushrod is the correct one to use? Also, the threaded hole for the hydraulic line is in a diferent position than my old one. The old one connected between the firewall and the reservoir; the new one connects beyond the reservoir. Both of them are mfd. by Tokico. Is this normal?
