car cover recomendation
I'm looking to purchase a good quality car cover. Something that won't rot while I let my project sit for a year or so. It has to be secure so no one can take the cover. Thanks

Just a thought. If you let the car sit in the wrong environment for a year plus while you work up funds, you may end up with a seized motor. Freshly machined engine parts do like to rust - even if they seem to be well sealed from the environment at times. Can you get it assembled and at least drive it every month or so?

Even if you can't drive it, can you at least start it up and let it run 10-15 minutes every month to keep the battery charged and the oil circulating?
Machinery HATES sitting idle. Highly likely you'll have to redo much of the work you've already paid for if you just let it sit for a year or longer.

Well, the cover that I have is from Pep Boys. It is guaranteed waterproof. I believe that it is Tybond or some such nonesense. They list the size B as being right for the roadster, but it is oversized. An A would fit better, but they don't stock those - get the B and it will work OK. Also, don't park it on grass or dirt. They will release a lot more moisture than concrete which will help the bottom of the car rot out. (think about it - if you see a car dead in someone's back yard, it is usually rather rusty, but if it has been on the concrete behind a repair shop for a similar length of time, it won't be as bad)
