Sorry to hear about your troubles, but not all Nissan dealers are that way. There are two Nissan dealerships here in Kansas City that have both been very helpful, give me 20% off list too. Everytime I take my car over they spend 15-20 minutes going over it. They get just as excited as I do when a part comes in. Just tried to ordered a few parts on Monday. Original Nissan roadster brake hoses for $15.95 each, no shipping or anything. Should be in tomorrow, or Friday at the latest. Couldn't come up with any vent window w/strips though-NLA in the system I'm told. That's how it goes though. I average about 45% which isn't bad considering the alternatives. Hope you have better luck finding a dealer.

A couple benifits out here in Oregon is that there are a large number of other Nissan Dealerships, plus when you do get the part there is no sales tax :D to add on to the price. Bill

After I replaced most of my front end, (I bought ball joints and idler from Dean and the rest from Rod), I went down to my local Nissan Dealer for an alignment. I drove the car in the service department, and they gathered around, interested in this cool car, then asked me what kind of car it was!

As well, they couldn't even do the alignment, even though I provided them with the specs. Neither could Big O, though Wheel Works had no problems with it. Except they got a parking ticket on my car, which they deducted the price of from my bill.

Hope you find a dealer you can deal with, I'm still looking.

Well, I finally found a dealership with a reasonable parts manager. He gave me the price that he gives to the local Z club. I hope that I can make this a regular arrangement. For now, I'm going to order the rest of the small parts I need from one of the vendors. It's much easier than looking for those part numbers anyway.

Remember, some of the vendors just go to the dealer, mark it up and sell it again. Nothing wrong with that at all, you are basically paying them to look up your parts for you.
