quick question

Just my 2 cents, actually my fathers, he is a retired 30 year Nissian Master tech.
Here is what he said.
Reason wires are getting hot is because starter is working to hard trying to turn the motor over.
First remove all the spark plugs, and try to turn the motor over by hand. use a 1/2 rachet on the balancer bolt. It should turn over easy. If it doesn't remove the starter, see it the starter is locked up in the ring gear.
With the plugs out and starter off, try turning the engine over by hand again. If it still doesnt turn over easy. The tranmission has to come back out.
You may have gotten the wrong parts, or the T-out bearing may be in backwards.
I called him with the problem, just for his advice. He offered his email if you need it.
