That was pretty cool and sort of surprising results. It would have been cool to see a more precisely run comparison, but still it's an impressive sight!

That GTR definitely hooked up like a banshee... I will say though, that if these were "owner" driven cars, that might explain the results... Looked like a couple of sketchy shifts along the way. I just emailed this to my buddy who keeps insisting that the 911 Turbo S is a superior car to the GTR... This should lead to some fireworks. He wasn't very happy when I sent him the GTR setting the track record on the Nurburgring either awhile back...

Just like in the days of our beloved Roadsters, the GTR will not get the same accolades as the other cars, simply because it says Nissan on it (Gee, just like my U20 cam cover!). I wish the British version of Top Gear would do a real test on the GTR to see what they think. They did one "challenge" race thing but I never saw a real test side by side with other cars on their show.

Yeah, they did a comparison with a Porsche something recently. I think Jeremy was talking about it being the poor little Datsun again. Until he drove it and beat the Porsche handily in the drag race. He went on and on about how well it handles and how it distorts his face from the g-forces going around the track.
I don't recall now, but I think the GTR has either the second or third place on the track record list with the Stig driving.

That was the show that he had to be removed from the GTR and taken to the hospital due to hurting his neck from the g-forces he was pulling in the GTR!! :D

I was fortunate a few weeks ago and had an opportunity to test drive a GTR for an hour. It's acceleration is incredibly fast and controlled, like getting rear ended by a Shinkansen bullet train. I want one but I'll settle for my roadster.

After watching the videos I went to check used prices on Ebay. $70K to just squeak into a used one - ouch!

Love the GT-R, I drove a friends 2012 an it was sensational:

As for the 911 Turbo S vs the current GT-R...the P-car spanks it in a drag race...but both cars are creamed by the Veyron!

Just to clarify, I watched this week's show, and the GTR is actually in 7th or 8th place on the board. Still up there with some amazing cars though.
