I know the subject line is confusing…I have been a board member since early 2004 and have been collecting Roadster parts for well over 10 years, but it has been a full five years since I started my frame off resto. I’m not a procrastinator…I’ve just been real busy with the war on terrorism…so the news to share with my Datsun friends is I have finally retired! After 25 years and 5 tours in Iraq/Stan as well as Desert Storm and Bosnia I will finally stay home long enough to actually work on the resto. I just updated my web site (changed the resto pages to be chronological) and included my very busy months of Aug/Sep while I was waiting on my retirement ceremony. I can’t wait to get back into my car…CSM McCarthy out! Mr. McCarthy will be here awhile. I’m the guy on the right of the photo next to my wife who has supported my career choice for a quarter of a century.
Congrats and thanks for your years of service! I'm headed over to your site now to check out your resto pictures. I'm in the "start" of the same boat.
I'm about to put my engine back together after getting it back from the machine shop and your rebuild pages/photos are AWESOME!!! Thanks for putting in the work to put those pages up.
Thanks for your impressive committment and service to our Country!
And to Roadsters, you obviously commit to whatever you take on as evidenced by your service, and the 10+ years of patient restoration. Your website is great. Welcome "back".
"When all else fails, force prevails!" Ummm, we're gonna need a bigger hammer here.
Congrats on the retirement, and thank you so much for your service. I have been checking your website for 2 years waiting for an update so this now makes sense!! It is a great site and I look forward to seeing all the new updates now that you are back at it.
i have enjoyed following your work, and i want to thank you for serving our country. i am glad that you are now back home with your family, and back working on that roadster.
Thank you for your service to our country and enjoy a well deserved retirement. BTW, Best excuse I have ever heard for not fixing your car.
