Please ID these two things for me please

1600 block stamped R59052 (if this matters)

The first is right next to the timing cover on the pass side. The second looks to be some sort of water vavle just under the rear carb--there was nothing attached to it.

Image 2611 is definitely the Drain Plug for the block. There's a small dimple on one side of the notch visible on the top, aligning the notch parallel to the block with the dimple on one side is fully closed, and 180° around it's wide open. Don't recall if it's dimple to block or away.

ok thanks. I pulled it and nothing came out. All I saw was a chunk of rust colored crap. Hopefully the interior is not shot.

The first plug is where Nissan drilled through the main oil passage to the first main bearing - the plug is to seal the hole on the outside of the passage. The second has been identified.
