Can somebody send me some pics of the top of the windshield frame on a stock '68. I'm trying to figure what mine is supposed to look like, in terms of trim and what not. If it's easier, you can send them to jkunstler@earthlink.net
Thanks,
Joe

Joe / Scott:
Here's the pics. http://www.311s.org/phpBB2/album_person ... ser_id=342 Hope they help. If you want any additional pics let me know. The kit I got from Dean is a hard plastic , not the soft that was original, similar to the 68-70 dash covers. To look at it you would never know though. I believe it came with the adhesive as well. The top and side pieces come together under the left and right latches and look very clean. The side closest to the windshield gasket can fit under the windshield gasket lip, the top piece has a black piece of trim to cover the lip from the top of the frame and the trim piece, and the side along the doors can fit under the door weatherstripping. The weatherstripping is missing on mine at the moment in the pictures because I just took the old stuff off and have new pieces in the shed, just haven't made the time to put them on. The 3 pieces on the windshield where the latches attach to should be the Satin (DULL) metal. At least they are on both my 68's. They sort of have a shine to them, but nothing like chrome. I plan on buffing mine this summer. The buffing wheel / kit has become sort of an obsession.
