That badge is great Richard, but the press kit is a great addition to any collection.

NICE CATCH !!!

Curiously ...

A 1970 press kit that shows a 1968 2000 and a 1969 1600 ...

Well regardless of the year mismatch, those two "factory" photos are not that commonly found.

In that cover letter from the ad agency representing Nissan, they mention for release to "PMs," itself an anachronism. They're referring to afternoon newspapers, now few and far between.

Press kits these days are on DVD and/or downloaded. A lot less tangible, IMHO.

When we bought a new 1995 Camry 2-dr, I asked Toyota's factory media rep whether they had any leftover press kits for the model year. YES ! and they sent me a ring binder with several slide-in clear sheets with transparency photographs.

Got 250,000 miles out of the car before we sold it, and still have the press kit ...

I would love to get that badge reproduced. Didn't someone on this forum get badges made up before?

I had the SPL badges done a couple years ago but it was a bit pricy. I recall they were around $550 for a dozen. I wanted one for my car and figured if I broke even selling the rest I would be OK with it. If there is enough interest I would look into having them made again or this newly found one made.
