Turn Z Event At Infineon June 4 !!!

Post by Alvin »

Turn Z, Celebrating Japanese Motoring Culture
The Z Owners of Northern California (ZONC) and Motoring J Style are thrilled to announce "Turn Z," a celebration of Datsun/Nissan Z Cars and Japanese motoring culture at large, which will take place at Infineon Raceway during the 2nd annual Sonoma Historic Motorsports Festival on Saturday, June 4.

Race fans are encouraged to visit the ZONC/Motoring J Style display at Turn 7. Race fans can expect more than 50 Zs on display, as well as more than 100 Japanese classics in the area designated as "Turn Z." There will be several categories for judging, with prizes going to owners of selected cars.

Among those in attendance at the event will be sports car racing legend John Morton, competing with several cars during the weekend.

At the end of the day you can drive on the track for $15!!!
Tickets can be purchased here:

1 week away!
Just to clarify...you only need to purchase a race ticket $35 to park in Turn 7 or "Turn Z" for the display
If you want to participate in the track laps with your car you need to purchase the $15 "car corral" pass

Start doing the anti rain dance, its looking wet. I'm hesitant to bring my car out since I don't own a set of tires that are safe to drive in the rain :( Not to mention that I will never be able to see where I'm going due to fogging windows. Seriously, rain this late in the year? WTH?

Sorry for the confusion, but I am being told that you need to purchase BOTH the race ticket and "corral pass" to park in Turn Z

Will- ZONC flyers are ambiguous...the latest one says you must purchase both tickets. My understanding was that you just buy a race ticket and you can park at TurnZ...the corral pass is only there to get you on the track

James- that is Dan Philbin's 67.5 SRL, he is "datzoom" on the board. He has several nice SRLs!

I'm going to try and make this, but not in the Roadster. Getting that ready to take to Canby the following week. May drag out the 240Z if it looks dry or maybe I'll unbury the 1200 and bring that if it looks like it may rain.

From the event coordinator:
'"Yes, you need to buy both. The corral pass gets you into Turn Z - parking corral at Turn 7 and the parade lap. Infineon sent both the event tickets and a rear-view mirror hanger for the corral. By the way, they lowered the price to $15 for the corral and parade lap. "

I'll be volunteering so I wonder if I would have to pay? I'll see how it works out because I'm not sure of the times yet.

Just tell them you are military and it would be nice if they waived all fees. Least they can do.
