Man, that is a thick base on that intake. I think milling it down is an answer. If you can post a picture of the intake with the linkage assembled rather than just hanging loose, we may be able to offer opinions...

It looks like those "eye hooks" are a clue to the linkage. I've altered the picture below - to show how I THINK it could work. I think there is a cross bar that should connect the two linkages together, that is in turn "pulled" from the center section by your existing throttle cable. Also in green is the "correct" washer for the intake/exhaust manifold junction. Are there any pieces missing that are not in the picture, and do you have any other pictures??

I agree, it looks like those 2 "eyes" are the pivot point for the crossbar, just amatter ofgetting everything to pull correctly. Might just be a matter of laying out all the parts and starting from scratch, or get another person to look at it, you may be getting tunnel vision.
I have a similar issue with the Weber kit, it's made for a TR6 with rod linkage. At this point, I'm either getting a double throttle cable, Sid's idea, or I'll run the cable to 1 carb and use the linkage to join them.

The linkage is as described. The tough part is the cable stand.
There is no provision on the intake for mounting it.
Jeff Torres has his cable mounted to the forward bolt on the valve cover and the bellcrank on the crossbar moved forward.
I've been looking at various ideas for a while - the simplest may be to mount a bracket on the flat surface between the carbs (really hard to describe!)

So the first picture, that arm needs to be pushed down, so the throttle cable needs to mount to the bottom of the arm to rotate it correctly. You can see the plate and throttle cable mount we're working on. That little half pie shaped guy in the middle has been welded on to try and make it fit this thinner rod.
Next picture shows the difference on the top between the header tabs and the intake manifold. Problem with milling down is the problem is opposite on the bottom. Here's a rough sketch of a mount for the cable stand.
Note that I'm using a thicker rod and arms from a 280Z. The arms will also pull rather than push (custom throttle arms).

I think we are close on the cable stand support. This will also take care of the miss match between the header and the intake for a couple of the studs.
The whole linkage was assembled before those clear pictures were taken. I had pulled the rod and undone everything when I took the pic. If you look between the center 2 studs you can see the cardboard templet that I was making for the cable stand mount.

Sorry, I find modern engine swaps revolting. Keep your G, R, or U series in your Roadster!

If you zoom the bottom photo, there is a straight arm connected to the end of the cable. A drum (pie shaped pulley) might give a more linear pull, as the rotation is constant vs cable pull. Other than that, which is very minor) looks very nicely done, and obviously works.

Search "Throttle drum" on google.
This is a throttle return spring bracket, cheap and avail from any speedshop. Might be a good start for a cable housing anchor.
