While replacing the posties on my '67 I had to employ a trick some may have forgotten and some may never have known. To get the nut on an impossible-to-get-to bolt (such as the posties under the vent windows) stick the washer and nut together, and to your finger with a tiny dab of axle grease. You can reach in to get the nut on the back of the bolt and turn the front until the threads engage.
a drop of hot glue to hold the nut to a piece of coathanger works really well, which reminds me I have to install the dash twisties

If you hot glue it to a child, they'll defiantly lock you up
