No spark?

Post by 67 1/2 1600 »

Hey everyone,
I have finally come to the time to start my beast up! I cant get it started due to no spark.... I beleive the coil is shot, due to there being current in ground. But I could be wrong! . Does anyone have pics to show of how the coil should be hooked up?

Thanks! Joaquin

Joaquin,
Does the car turn over when you turn the key? (Just making sure) If it doesn't work one way flip the connections and try the other. I'd look at mine but I have the MSD hooked up and that won't help you much. If your parts car has a coil, swap it in just to check.

Good luck,
Will
Sorry, I find modern engine swaps revolting. Keep your G, R, or U series in your Roadster!

Will, yes the car turns over, but it drains the battery, since its still stuck in 3rd gear, and the rear is lifted up. I didnt try flipping the connections, and the solenoid is from the parts car, although the parts car didnt have it hooked up it was only the solenoid and the other part that goes under it that hooks up to the positive. I will try flipping the connections.....

Thanks, Joaquin
