Awesome. Greg, Kettle Falls is about 75 miles North of Spokane. In other words, a long ways from anywhere. I too am in hibernation mode...I'm afraid to drive my 69 for fear of a big rock hitting my windshield & slitting it in two. Also, there is still a lot of snow here in the mountains, & I don't do the cahain-up thing. That's why I have three Subarus.

Yes, Pat, I'm looking for a few parts. I'd like to get the "N" in "DATSUN" for the front hood, an ashtray tray, & a light switch knob. I'm also looking for wheels; if you have any or all of those parts, I'd be glad to make you an offer. Thanks a million. Cheers. pop.

I went to school in Pullberg back in the mid '80's, and that is where I found my '67 2000 under a pile of snow (shear luck, or God's plan... the car certainly changed my life!). She has not been back since, but I may make a run there someday just to see how things have changed (a lot I hear!). I know of a few other Eastern Roadsters out that way and a couple in between. In the past there has been talk of a Washington meet somewhere in the middle. We could probably pull a few friends from Canada who often go all the way to Shasta, some from Idaho and Oregon too. You are most certainly at the right site for Roadster people and we will welcome you into the family with open arms and little attitude. I may be able to help you out with the "N"... I will try to remember to look in the ol tool chest in the next day or so as I changed mine out but still kept the old ones (in good shape, no charge). Can't be running around in a "DATSU"... feel free to pm me if I forget.

Thanks Greg. I'm not sure about Pullberg, unless you are refering to Pullman (& WSU) in the SE corner of the state. I've never actually been there, but that Palouse country looks like it would be a blast to open up my roadster with all those curves & hills & wide open skies. Some kind of meet in the center of the State would be very cool; maybe a jaunt up to Leavenworth for Octoberfest or a 4th of July cruise through the Cascades. I'm glad to have found like-minded people wanting to share some adventures. Let's make it a reality. Cheers. pop.

Ha, ya "Pullberg" is what we called Pullman back in the day. Loved my time at WSU. Yes, there should be some awesome roads with little law enforcement (hopefully) to slow us down too much. Let's see if we can make it happen! We could do an "Iron bottom" kind of run (nothing formal, on your own for food and lodging, map out some roads and tear them up, see some sites, maybe a location for a group gathering and a pic). Part of the fun for me going to Shasta is the drive there. A few of us meet in Oregon, then usually drive through the mountains to say, Crater Lake (beautiful, and an AWESOME road on the way if you miss the RV traffic), then on to California. If people want to start researching places, sites to see, roads to drive etc in Central Washington, you can start PMing me ideas. I may go ahead and start a thread. I'm sure that Ted Heaton will chime in from DROPS. Don't want to take anything away from Shasta this year, but I just won't be able to attend (again) and I miss my Canadian/Oregon/Washington friends... always a good time if only once a year.

Colton, WA., pop. 451, is just a wide spot in the road on Hwy 195 south of Pullman towards the Lewiston-Clarkston valley. The old Spiral Hwy going down 1500' elevation in 8 miles to the valley is great roadster driving. Tons of twisties and little to no traffic or enforcement officials. I loved to drive that road with my '69 2000. The only problem was the whining sound coming from the passenger seat. That mysteriously went away when the wife stayed home.

At least you guys can count on decent weather east of the Cascades in the summer. Wenatchee is pretty nice.
Hope you can set up a BBQ, fun run or something for the many Roadsters up that way. Making it a 2 day event with motels or camping or whatever I would think can boost attendance. Nice camping up that way.
Key would be to publicize
Maybe you will start a tradition and the Cali folks will be driving UP

Yes, I found Colton on the map. Looks like some great touring in that area.
Call it the Potlatch run, up & down the hill & around Clarkston, a town I've wanted to visit for years, but never quite got there. Wenatchee has gotten very congested, but it's a nice area with all the orchards & great scenery. Save that one for Autumn; the fruit basket run. Cali drivers always welcome. Cheers. pop.

Linda, I would think you would have decent weather all year long, there in S. Cal. The traffic must be murder, though. We do have nice weather around Kettle in the Summer...all eight weeks of it, lol. & talk about great camping! Bring your floaties & you can float the Kettle River, always a Summer blast. Ok guys, as we get closer to spring I will start a thread here and post to DROPS to see about a run. I got an email from Ted who basically runs DROPS who indicated that there are few running Roadsters in the group or those who would be willing to do an overnight, but even 5-10 cars would be fun. It will be informal, participate as much as you want, no expectations kind of thing. So start your investigations, mapquest searches, and you can pm me your suggestions any time. Ghost towns, historical sites, great roads, views, experiences etc all welcome!

BTW, forgot to look in the drawer for the "N"... still need it?
