Hi ! I am in need of some help from someone who has more expertise than I do ! I have a 1969 SPL 311 1600 Roadster that has a hood that is in bad condition and want to know if a 1970 SPL 311 1600 hood will fit ? The only thing I can see as different is the spring mounting and spring but I think it can be made to fit by using the 1969 spring on the 1970 bracket ? Has anyone confronted this issue before and solved it successfully ? HELP !
HELP ! THANKS DON !!!!

RE:Roadster Hood
The '69 and '70 hoods should be a direct match. They both have the additional safety latch that the earlier models did not have. You may have a modfied hood already on the car if it does not have the safety catch on it. You should be able to make it work with little problems. Problems do arise when you try to use an early hood (single master cylinder) on a later car(dual master cylinder). The early hoods do not have the knotch for the later dual master cylinder and the hood prop is different. Probably more than you wanted to know.
