Lucha Libre in NHRA museum.... (well kinda)

Post by FergO2k »

Look thru picture site of Grand Natl Roadster Show in Pomona this past weekend, the photographer wandered out to the NHRA museum which is on the same site.
There is a La Carrera Panamerica historic class car on display (alfa by the hood tag?), who must have felt the influence of the "roadster back there in the pack", or at least felt the sticker was too cool to pass up.

Closest a Datsun roadster reference will ever be to the NHRA museum? Probably....

Sorry, I find modern engine swaps revolting. Keep your G, R, or U series in your Roadster!

My guess is an AC Ace Bristol Coupe circa 1950 or what ever they called it then.
I think the grill a "D" on its side.

OOPS Its a 1955 Kurtis

looks like a Kurtis 500? They had their heyday in the early 50s when the original Panamericanas were run.
