So...Nissan US invited me to drop by their headquarters outside of Nashville, where I got a factory tour, met a bunch of their marketing and product development guys, got to tour a museum with a lot of significant Nissan vehicles, and generally had the Nissan red carpet rolled out for the
Roadster. They were really awesome the whole time, and it's hard to believe a big car company like that would go to that effort to meet 'n greet with a little vintage Datsun owner, but that's exactly what they did. Basically, they're just a big bunch of hands-on car geeks hanging out in a really fancy building. I got to sit in the Geoff Brabham IMSA GTP car, the John Morton/BRE TransAm 510, and do over an hour of meet 'n greet and general car ogling with dozens of their employees and development guys in their studio. It was crazy awesome.
